Going for Gold: Dillinger’s sustainability management earns top honors once again

EcoVadis, an international provider of business sustainability ratings, has once again awarded its Gold medal to Dillinger for its corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities. The rating confirms the high quality of sustainability management at Dillinger.

Dillinger has already successfully positioned itself in the CSR ratings conducted by EcoVadis in recent years as a company that operates sustainably and responsibly. In the latest assessment, the steel producer confirmed the excellent rating from the previous year: with 74 points, Dillinger is among the top 5% of companies assessed by EcoVadis in the “Production of hot metal and steel” sector. The recertification is valid until March 2025.

“Earning the Gold medal once again confirms our proven, highly responsible corporate policy and gives us momentum on our new path toward carbon-neutral steel production,” explained Chief Commercial Officer Danny van der Hout. “This is also an important signal to our stakeholders.”

The EcoVadis rating is based on a defined scorecard. This includes the criteria of the Global Reporting Initiative, the United Nations Global Compact, and the International Organization for Standardization for the areas of environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. Specification of defined evaluation criteria enables companies certified by EcoVadis to be compared internationally.
